Pere Marquette Fishing report for late May , with the current weather is all about the Dry Fly. With afternoon hatches bring fish to the surface.
The weather is heating up and so is the dry fly fishing. The past few days the bugs have been coming on strong. We have been seeing various stoneflies and caddis during the day. Into the evenings.
Sulphurs, mahoganies, Yellow Cahill and gray drakes are what’s for dinner. There had been good trout eating bugs through out the day but the majority of the larger browns have waited for the sun to dip below the trees to start feeding heavy.
The river looks good! The level and clarity is real nice right now. Also don’t forget your bug spray!! Be safe and get out there!
We currently have three federal permits and have access to all the PM launches. Give us a call 231-228-7135 or contact us on the web. Call us for a Trout trip we will also be guiding the Pine River, another fantastic streamer river for trout during the summer.
