I’ve been training dogs my entire life and have been a professional trainer since 2015.
— Capt. Chris Butz
Based in Michigan, we specialize in providing uniquely trained upland bird hunting dogs that excel in the field. Our focus is on the most challenging and elusive game birds in North America. With a commitment to precision and professionalism, we take pride in producing hunting dogs that are not only highly skilled but also perfectly suited for the demanding conditions of upland bird hunting.

LLewellan Setter
Lily
At 11 years old, Lily is the heart and soul of the team—my main girl. A true Llewellan, she’s got that perfect on/off switch that makes her a standout in the field. Always by my side, she’s never far from the action, convinced we’re just moments away from a hunt. While I run a five-hole topper on the truck, she’s earned the right to ride up front with me when we’re meeting clients. The second she catches wind of a hunt on the horizon, it’s game on—there’s no slowing her down. With thousands of birds under her nose, she’s been a dedicated grouse and pheasant dog from the start, and she’s been guiding grouse since 2019 with relentless drive and precision. Every hunt, she gives it her all.
Large Münsterländer
YDA
YDA is a high-energy, versatile hunting dog with a natural gift for tracking. An air and ground setter, she excels at both pointing and chasing pheasants with boundless enthusiasm. With minimal training, she’s been pointing since birth and is a focused machine in the woods. Playful yet precise, she’s a rare find in the field—always ready for action and effortlessly skilled.

British Lab
Aspen
Aspen is a 65lb grouse-hunting machine. A typical happy-go-lucky lab, she charges through the woods with fearless abandon, busting through anything in her path. Raised at Double T British Kennels, she’s been focused on hunting since day one. Aspen’s bold and relentless in the field, making her a powerhouse when it comes to grouse.
English Cocker
Fern
Fern is an energetic, loveable English Cocker from a championship line in England. Raised in traditional driven shoots, she’s an exceptional pheasant dog, with a natural talent for flushing and retrieving. Full of energy and always jumping around, she’s a crazy girl with a big heart. A true pro with hand signals, Fern is quick, focused, and a blast to hunt with.
