Manistee River Report – Below Tippy Dam
Manistee Fishing Report Below Tippy Dam – 11.14.24
The good fishing this has continued to roll on. We finally got a bit of rain that bumped the water up a bit and pushed some new fish in. After a couple days of more normal flows we are back down to the low and clear standard for this fall. Despite this, the fishing has continued to impress.
Top flies this week were eggs, particularly eggs in the yellow color schemes, as well as buggers. With the warmer water temps swinging streamers has been very productive.
In the clear water downsizing your fly and muting the flash has been key. Black/orange and olive-based patterns have been the best producers. Looking at the forecast we have mild temps and some precipitation heading our way and this should set up for some great fishing late this fall.
We still have some openings for the rest of November and December so give us a shout to get on the calendar. Call the office at 231-228-7135
